The U.W.S. Base is an intelligent system that goes beyond a mere storage concept and puts the bike in the deserved centre of attention. The flexible assembly is designed for room heights from 220 cm to 300 cm - from the cellar to the garage and preferably directly in the home. The basic construction consists of two halves of round wood that are pushed apart in opposite directions and secured to the floor and ceiling with mounting rods. After the fine adjustment with threaded screws, with which the U.W.S. Base has to be firmly spread apart between the ceiling and the floor, the assembly is done.
Individualisation and modular expansion with a storage table or additional storage bars, is possible at any time. The U.W.S. Base is made of ash wood and is available oiled as well as in black and fluorescent orange. And if the bike is not in the parking position, the U.W.S. Base can also be used as an ordinary coat rack. However, Urban Wood Systems accepts no liability for bikes getting jealous.
Through years of work in the interior sector, it was possible to build up a network with regional production facilities. This not only enables the implementation with companies from the surrounding area, but also short distances and better quality control. All the necessary components are produced in Upper Austria. The raw material wood comes from Croatia south of Zagreb in the Slavonia region. The furniture producer Trewit, based in Scharnstein, processes this wood, treats the different surfaces and forms the basis of U.W.S. Base.
